Drop in Ukulele Group

It’s time to dust of your ukulele and join the fun! Everyone is welcome to strum, hum, and share in the joy of music at Athol Senior Center.
This friendly, informal group is open to ALL levels–from beginners to seasoned players–and we are especially hoping to find someone with experience who would enjoy leading. Bring your favorite songs, a smile, and your enthusiasm, and let’s make music together!

Bring your own ukulele and music stand.

The first session will meet on Monday, January 5th at the Senior Center at 1pm.

Participants will determine the frequency of sessions. Call 978-249-8986 if you have any questions.

The Athol Council on Aging (COA) and the Athol Public Library(APL) have an exciting announcement for anyone 60+ who is
struggling (or has ever struggled) to make sense of the internet, their smartphone, iPad or other devices.

Through generous funding provided by a grant from the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, the COA and APL are pleased to announce Embrace Technology, a
collaborative project designed to help members of our community enhance their
digital literacy by providing free or affordable access to the internet, state-of-the-art equipment, small group sizes, one-on-one sessions, and more.
We are living in a digital age, and the COA and APL are here to help. With friendly,
patient instruction, participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, giving them the confidence to Embrace Technology for today and tomorrow.
Group learning sessions will begin at the library in February, and on-on-one sessions are already happening at the Senior Center and the Library. Details on upcoming programs and services are available at both locations.
